Open Weekend at the magical workshop of Cantemus

The programme is designed for music teachers and conductors and will allow the participants to observe and gain an insight into the world class standard work of music education in Nyíregyháza which is a living testimony to the reality, truth and effectiveness of the Kodály method.
During the course you will be introduced to the secrets of detail and refined methodology as well as given an opportunity to see the big picture of the whole concept, the complete structure of the system and the solidity of the Kodaly principle – the ’Nyíregyháza secret’ as foreigners often call it.
• Music Lesson observations in grades 1- 8 (6-14 year olds) Choir Rehearsal observations (Cantemus Children’s Choir, Pro Musica Girls’, Cantemus Mixed Choir)
• Choral Sound Production: Voice coaching and warm up, intonation, repertoire and other secrets of a high standard performance – a lecture by Dénes Szabó
• Workshop: choir leadership skills, rehearsal management, solfeggio and conducting in practice
• Music Department Concert – Talented instrumentalists and all the choirs
• Hour of Questions
• Wine tasting in Tokaj

Please note that the participation fee does not include the bank transfer costs and make sure that the Cantemus Choral Institute recieves the full amount of 300 Euros.
The price includes all of the programme visits including concerts, accomodation and full board catering beginning with dinner 15 of May and ending with breakfast 19 of May 2019.
