Prince of secrets – The mysterious life of Gesualdo
The dramatised musical performance by the Cantemus Choir of Nyíregyháza, based on László Passuth’s novel Madrigal, takes the audience on a journey through the tragic life of don Carlo Gesualdo, the composer who committed murder – Gesualdo and his contemporaries. In this extraordinary evening, the prose of the National Theatre’s artists is masterfully combined with the drama of late Renaissance choral music.
