HALF A CENTURY OF CANTEMUS!
It is now 50 years since the foundation of the Cantemus Children’s Choir, a musical journey that has left a significant mark not only on the musical life of Hungary, but also of the world. Under the direction of our founder conductor Dénes Szabó, the choir has not only moved within the traditional framework of children’s choirs, but has also created a special community, whose membership is growing every year with new young singers who enrich the choir family with their passion and commitment to music.
The Cantemus story is full of impressive successes and uplifting moments. Since 1975, we have made our voice heard not only at home but also internationally. We have won more than fifty first prizes in numerous competitions, and through our performances we have spread the reputation of Hungarian choral culture throughout the world.
On 22 June 2025, from 16:00, we invite everyone who has participated, will participate or has just enjoyed listening to a slice of CANTEMUS life to a great concert of the CELEBRATION CONCERT! We believe that the CONTINENTAL ARENA is the right place to celebrate with as many people as possible – similar to the atmosphere of the Cantemus Festival Gala Singing Competition.
